Handstand Movement Intermediate Workshop, Penrith

This workshop is tailored for individuals who are comfortable kicking up into a handstand away from the wall, falling out, and holding a chest-to-wall handstand. If you can confidently execute these skills, you’re ready to take your handstand practice to the next level.

Even if you can kick up and fall out but struggle with balance, you are still welcome to attend. This workshop will provide targeted drills and exercises to help improve your balance control and overall handstand proficiency.

Throughout the workshop, we’ll focus on refining your handstand alignment and delve into the nuances of tuck and straddle shapes, as well as exploring various entry techniques. Our goal is to help you enhance your skills and develop a deeper understanding of handstand movement.

The drills and exercises covered in this workshop will challenge you to refine your technique in different contexts, using tools such as walls, boxes, and freestanding positions. We’ll guide you through a progression of drills, ensuring that each participant is challenged appropriately based on their skill level.

Endurance is crucial for advancing in handstand practice, so we’ll introduce exercises designed to build your endurance, allowing you to hold handstands for longer durations with greater stability.

Additionally, we’ll explore a variety of entry techniques to add versatility to your practice, empowering you with a broader skill set. We’ll focus on achieving these shapes with proper alignment and technique, enabling you to expand your repertoire and challenge yourself further.

Balance is a key aspect of handstands, and we’ll provide specific drills and exercises to help you improve and refine your balance control. Through targeted practice and feedback, you’ll develop the necessary skills to find and maintain balance in different handstand positions.

Throughout the workshop, we’ll be available to answer your questions, offer personalized guidance, and create a supportive environment conducive to growth and learning.

Alice, an enthusiastic member of Fell’s CrossFit community, has a deep passion for handstands. Ever since joining Fell, she instantly developed a strong affinity for being upside down. With her Level 1 CrossFit certification, Alice possesses ample coaching experience, specifically in assisting the Fellers in surpassing their gymnastic aspirations. She takes pride in witnessing numerous individuals achieve their first-ever handstands, handstand holds, walks, and push-ups through her guidance. Alice excels at instilling confidence in others with their handstands and wholeheartedly encourages active participation from everyone.
