About Natalie

Natalie Fisher is a dedicated handstand coach with years of training in handstands and body movement. Her journey began in November 2018, leading to the launch of Handstand Movement in March 2020.

With no gymnastics background, Natalie believes that if she can master handstands, anyone can! She is still on her journey to master various handstand skills, allowing her to empathize with her students’ struggles and challenges.

Initially focused on adults, Natalie began working with gymnasts in early 2024, helping many improve their alignment and balance. She also enjoys teaching kids, finding that their quick learning makes sessions both fun and informative.

Natalie’s coaching emphasizes instant feedback, fostering the mind-body connection while developing handstand skills. She has successfully guided numerous individuals—from beginners to advanced practitioners—toward building confidence in their practice. Committed to creating a supportive environment, she tailors each session to meet individual needs, offering expert guidance and encouragement along the way.

What to Expect

Adults:

  • Sessions last between 1 hour and 1.5 hours, depending on individual needs.

  • Longer sessions are typically recommended for those requiring additional work on flexibility or for more advanced practitioners wanting to explore more drills.

  • All sessions include a comprehensive full-body warm-up and stretch to prevent injuries and prepare the body for practice.

Children:

  • Sessions last between 45 minutes and 1 hour, depending on age and experience.

  • For children under 6 or 7, Natalie suggests 45-minute sessions to ensure comfort, as they may feel it more in their wrists.

  • For children over 7, a 1-hour session is recommended to maximize the time spent working on handstands.

  • Each session includes a warm-up and flexibility work, tailored specifically to each child’s needs.

  • If a child wishes to split the session with a friend, that option is available too! A 1-hour session is recommended to ensure adequate time for both children.
